Low Volume Output

Issue: Volume Output on myTRACKS seems low.

There are a few different things that can affect volume output.  One of the most basic are FX, namely the high-pass, band-pass, and low-pass filters.  This is by design, but may not be obvious as you are getting to know the myTRACKS.  For example, if you apply a high-pass filter to a bass-heavy sound, it might filter out all of the sound because there are no “high” sounds to play.  If you find one track to have low volume, try turning off the FX to that track by pressing its FX button until the LED goes dark (indicating no FX are active).

Aside from FX, we have also been working to increase volume levels across the entire device.  By default, the myTRACKS volume is set to a level where the system will be able to power the loudest mixes from batteries without crashing or glitching.  However, many mixes will work fine at enhanced volume levels from the battery, and enhanced volume will work well when running the system from the USB-C power cable.  In addition, enhanced volume can provide more output from the Audio Out for using headphones, or plugging into a mixer.

The Synthpack and HipHop Instrument collections have already been updated.  New versions are live on the myTRACKS Upgrade page

Once these are installed, you can activate the volume boost configuration as shown in this video:
